Business Owner Goes 'from Success to Significance'
Jean Deliso remembers family members telling her that she didn't have the right personality for the financial-services business.
"They told me I was too direct," she recalled, noting that, while they certainly had a good read on her, and that such a trait may not work in many lines of work, it is perfect for the one she eventually chose after a number of wide-ranging forays into business.
"I am direct, and that's what allows me to be successful," Deliso, owner of Deliso Financial and Insurance Services, explained. "In this business, you have to ask the hard questions, the ones that people don't want to talk about. And no one likes to talk about money."
